Houda's Story

It has been a year since I started Tae Kwon Do at the World Tae Kwon Do Academy. I joined at the same time with my son and my husband. I thought first I am too old for Tae Kwon Do and too old to start martial art. Master Yi proved me wrong, he told me martial art are for people who believe that they can do it regardless of age or obstacles. I was suffering from neck pain; the pain was severe to the point I could not sleep at night and it was hard for me to get up from bed alone. I was always seeking my husband help. It was painful. When I met master Yi, he told me Tae Kwon Do is good for me. I thought he was joking, I thought Tae Kwon Do won’t be good for my painful neck. I assumed the opposite, I thought it might get worse. Master Yi encouraged me to join and I did start with the spirit to get better and to help my 5-year-old son to adjust to a new sport.

A year later I am pain free, I am more energetic and happier than ever. Tae Kwon Do has changed my body and my mind to the better, I would have never thought this could happen. Master Yi have flexible work hours, he trains you depending on your needs. He trained me, my son and my husband. Master Yi adjust his work schedule to make it happen for us to do Martial art regardless of our busy schedule. Master Yi has a good sense of Humor and very supportive. He cheers you up and motivates you to get better and to continue improving. I am so grateful to have known him and be under his wings for better and healthy life.
